Services:
Caraline is currently partly funded by the Luton and Bedfordshire Primary Care Trust to offer a 10 session Eating Behaviour Group. This is a structured, group focussed intervention, based on cognitive behavioural principles. It aims to enable group members to explore the triggers to their problematic eating behaviour by exploring a number of internal and external factors. At the end of the sessions clients are offered Auricular Acupunture to support their treatment.
Whilst Caraline is partly funded by the local Primary Care Trust, this does not cover the full service that we offer to our clients. In order to continue to provide the current level of service and expand our range of provision we need to ask clients to contribute to the treatment they receive, however, please not that you will not be refused treatment if you do not have the means to do so. Please use the link to see our current list of recommended charges.
A self support group takes place on the last Wednesday of each month for people living with an eating disorder to receive help and support from others living with similar issues.
A carer's support group will also be starting in October - further information will be provided as soon as possible.
We also offer a helpline for people with eating disorders, their friends or family. You can call this helpline to receive information and advice about the issues surrounding an eating disorder and the help we can offer. Please call 01582 457474 for further details.
1:1 Counselling, and a regular Telephone Helpline will be reintroduced later this year.
